虎ㄏㄨˇhǔ符ㄈㄨˊfú

古代作為掌管軍隊或用兵的虎形兵符。《史記·卷七七·魏公子傳》：「公子誠一開口，請如姬，如姬必許諾，則得虎符奪晉鄙軍。」

英tiger tally (a two-piece object made in the shape of a tiger, used in ancient China as proof of authority. One half of a tally could be issued to a military officer and this would be matched with the other half when verification was required.)
